Siegbert Börger with the ESB for 40 years

Siegbert Börger from Bocholt is now celebrating 40 years of service. At the municipal waste disposal and service company in Bocholt (ESB), he ensures that the municipal sewers are kept in good repair.

The 57-year-old began his career at the age of 17 with an apprenticeship as a road maintenance worker for the city of Bocholt. He later moved to the ESB's sewer operations department, where he is now responsible for maintaining Bocholt's sewer network, which is around 460 km long. Börger uses a special vehicle that costs almost half a million and is equipped with state-of-the-art technology.

Because of his willingness to help and his friendly nature, Siegbert Börger is held in high esteem by the citizens of Bocholt and his colleagues.
