Mother's Day concert at the music school celebrates its 50th anniversaryMother's Day concert at the music school celebrates its 50th anniversary
Sunday, 10 May from 11 a.m. in the Euregio sports hall // Free admission // Online reservation required
On 10 May, the Bocholt-Isselburg Music School will be holding its traditional Mother's Day concert with all of the music school's wind orchestras. It starts at 11 a.m. and takes place in the sports hall of the Euregio Gymnasium (Unter den Eichen 6). Seating is limited, free tickets can be booked online.
The Mother's Day concert has a long tradition at the music school. It took place for the first time in 1976 and has been a fixed part of the annual musical programme ever since - a thank you to all mothers and grandmothers. The concert is traditionally organised by the music school's wind orchestras: the Miniwinds, Wind Band and Youth Wind Orchestra take to the stage.
For the 50th anniversary, the concert will be a special reunion: All former conductors will be actively involved and will perform the programme together with the current ensembles. In addition, the (G)Oldfingers project orchestra, which includes many former musicians, will be a special highlight of the concert.
The music school's parents' and sponsors' association will also continue the tradition and have a little surprise treat in store for all mums. An anniversary concert full of music, memories and encounters awaits the audience.
Free tickets can be booked at eveeno.com/konzertzummuttertag50jahre.
