Traffic: Adenauerallee closed on one side only

Between "Auf der Recke" and crossing "Europa-Haus" // outward traffic still possible - inward traffic follow detour

Starting Monday, April 11, 2022, the bicycle and sidewalk path on both sides of Adenauerallee will be rehabilitated. The work will be carried out in the 1st construction phase between the junction "Auf der Recke" to the junction of Brockhoff-Straße/Alfred-Mozer-Straße (junction Europa-Haus). Here, the bike lane will first be renewed in the outbound direction and then in the inbound direction. This was announced by Straßen.NRW, the traffic authority responsible for this road (L505). The Adenauerallee remains passable for the construction period out of town.

After completion of the 1st construction phase, the 2nd construction phase from Brockhoff-Straße/Alfred-Mozer-Straße to the Robert-Koch-Ring traffic circle will be rehabilitated. Here, the side towards the city center will be rehabilitated first, followed by the side away from the city center.

Due to the cramped conditions, a one-way traffic regulation will apply for the time of the work for motor vehicle traffic coming from the direction of the city center. The sidewalk and bike path will be completely closed on the side of the roadway where construction is taking place during the construction phases. A detour for traffic will be signposted via the inner city road network.

The surface of the sidewalk and bike path will be milled off, after which the asphalt will be repaved. The work is expected to take about four weeks. The cost of the rehabilitation is around 200,000 euros and will be borne by the state of North Rhine-Westphalia.
