Renovation of the noise barriers on the Westring has begun
Four green noise barriers in the area of the junction with Schwanenstraße // The carriageway will remain open, with restrictions on the footpath and cycle path // Completion scheduled for the end of November 2026
On Monday, 5 October 2026, work began on the four green noise barriers at the Westring Tunnel, near the junction with Schwanenstraße. The city of Bocholt is carrying out targeted repairs on the sections in need of refurbishment, whilst intact sections will be left as they are. The carriageway will remain open to motor traffic, but there will be some restrictions on the footpath and cycle path.
