Training programme for volunteers published

Volunteers can take part in free training courses. The Volunteer Academy has now published the programme for the first half of the year with many free training courses, events, workshops and seminars. Bookings can now be made at the Bocholt Volunteer Agency.

Under the title "Volunteer Academy Bocholt" - developed from the city-wide network "engagiertestadt Bocholt" - a demand-orientated programme is created every six months. The programme for the first half of 2024 is now available at www.wir-fuer-bocholt.de/freiwilligenakademie.

Eight different courses

There are a total of eight different courses on the following topics

• Qualification for neighbourhood assistance
• Qualification for dementia support
• Qualification to become a reading mentor
• Instagram course
• Canva course (digital whiteboard)
• Prevention course on abuse of power and sexualised violence
• Stress reduction
• Basics of public relations work

Strong cooperation community

Since 2017, the cooperation between the adult education centre, family education centre, the "Leben im Alter" association, the Caritas association for the Bocholt deanery, the integration office of the city of Bocholt and the Bocholt volunteer agency has been offering a joint educational programme for associations and volunteers. The offer is also open to full-time employees of organisations who are involved in the coordination of volunteers. All programmes are free of charge.
