Infoday: "Giving care a face"
Action in Bocholt city centre // Care Day on 12 May
Under the motto "Giving care a face", senior citizen facilities, care services and technical colleges from Bocholt, Rhede and Isselburg will present themselves in Bocholt's city centre on the International Day of Care on 12 May.
Antje Schlütter, care coordinator for the city of Bocholt, has invited 19 institutions from different organisations in Bocholt, Rhede and Isselburg to present themselves on this day between 10 am and 4 pm.
"Nursing emergency", "shortage of skilled workers", "poor working conditions" are the predominant buzzwords in the context of nursing. "With this joint action, we want to counteract the negative image of care and call for a change of perspective," explains the care coordinator.
Rolf Oechtering, house manager of the Diepenbrockstift, and one of the participating exhibitors adds, "We want to show the citizens what care can do and what it achieves every day.
At information stands along Nordstraße, St. Georg Platz, Neustraße and Neutorplatz, citizens can find out more about what the exhibitors have to offer, learn more about careers in care and try out hands-on activities that bring growing old vividly to life.
