From rollators to apps: information evening in Bocholt shows how aids can make everyday life easier
As part of the "Gut geschult - Gut vertreten" training programme, a training course for voluntary legal guardians, authorised representatives and interested parties will take place on Monday, 22 September 2025, from 18:30 to around 21:00.
The speaker for the evening is Marius Seidel, an employee of the care association of the Sozialdienst katholischer Frauen (SkF) Bocholt and a legal carer himself. He will speak on the subject of "Aids from A-Z - from rollators to apps".
Legal carers also take on tasks in the field of medical, occupational and social rehabilitation as part of health care. Assistive devices play an important role here. The rollator is a well-known example, but there are numerous other options that can support carers in everyday life and make their independence easier or even maintain it. During the training course, the focus will be on what exactly is meant by assistive devices, what other aids are available, where reliable information can be found and what funding options are available.
The event is a cooperative event organised by the working group for the care system, consisting of the care authority of the city of Bocholt and the care associations of SkF Bocholt and Arbeiterwohlfahrt Bocholt. It is organised by the care association of the SkF Bocholt e.V. in Langenbergstraße 18, where the training room is barrier-free accessible.
Participation is free of charge, but a binding registration is required. Anyone interested can register by calling 02871 2518220.
