Music School: Taster sessions on the subject of "Early Music Education

In April, the new courses in the area of "Early Musical Education" at the Bocholt-Isselburg Music School will begin. Children accompanied by their parents can take part in free taster sessions in the week from Tuesday, 31 January to Saturday, 4 February 2023, at the Bocholt and Isselburg Music School and at various schools.

For children of kindergarten age (two years before starting school), the music school offers early music education. With movement and dance, singing, speaking and elementary instrumental playing, the musicality of the pre-school children is promoted, but also the creativity, self-confidence and personality of the children is strengthened. The programme is offered on the premises of the Bocholt Music School and also decentrally throughout the city of Bocholt in order to enable children to attend early music education close to home. Early music education is offered for four semesters.

For those who have not yet decided to learn an instrument after the early musical education, the basic musical education (for children in the 1st school year) is the right choice. This offer is aimed at early education and primary school children who would like to spend a year in general music with songs, rhythmicals and body percussion. The former early education children learn the first steps of music notation and the beginnings on the recorder, a "basic musical education for advanced learners", so to speak.
