On Sunday, 14 September 2025, local elections and elections to the Integration Council will take place in Bocholt at the same time. Voters will be able to cast their vote at the city's polling stations or go directly to the electoral office next week.
The city of Bocholt informs that on Sunday, 14 September 2025, the local elections will take place together with the election of the Integration Council. This election enables citizens to decide the composition of the city council, the district council, the mayoral and district council offices and the integration council.
Persons who are at least 16 years old, have been resident in Bocholt for at least 16 days and are either German citizens or citizens of another EU member state are eligible to vote in the local elections.
Special conditions apply for elections to the Integration Council: these include people with foreign citizenship, naturalised citizens and those whose parents have lived legally in Germany for at least eight years.
There are several ways for eligible voters to cast their vote. Firstly, they can vote at one of the 40 polling stations throughout the city on election day; these close at 6 pm, after which the count begins immediately.
Voting also possible Monday to Friday
In addition to voting at the polling station, every Bocholt resident also has the opportunity to vote directly at the electoral office in the inner courtyard of the Mariengymnasium (Schleusenwall 1). All you need to do is bring your official polling card or a valid identity card.
