Under the lecture title "Photovoltaics and Heat Pumps - The Private Energy Turnaround", the VHS Bocholt-Rhede-Isselburg invites you to the Media Centre Bocholt on Thursday, 14 September 2023. On this evening, the speaker Michael Birkhan will cover all topics related to the current complex of themes. The event will start at 7 pm. Why should electricity from fossil, CO2-intensive energy sources still be used today when it is possible to generate electricity yourself using solar energy and thus save money? Anyone planning to implement the private energy transition with a photovoltaic system or a heat pump is confronted with many questions in advance. Accordingly, the aspects of the lecture are multi-faceted. What yields can be expected in the different seasons? Is it worthwhile to install the system facing west or east? Should the purchase of a local energy storage device (battery) be considered to increase self-consumption of electricity? Can a PV system be intelligently coupled with a heat pump or an electric car? Are there funding opportunities for heat pumps/photovoltaic systems? These and other questions will be the focus of the evening.
