Special film: "Licorice Pizza" will be shown at the Kinodrom

A twisty love drama will be shown next Tuesday, April 12, at the Bocholt Kinodrom. The film "Licorice Pizza" by director Paul Thomas Anderson is the "special film" presented by the Department of Culture and Education.

15-year-old Gary Valentine lives in the San Fernando Valley in North Los Angeles and meets 25-year-old Alanna when photos are taken at his high school. He is supposed to be in front of the camera as a student, and she is helping out as an assistant during the photo shoot.

Although she initially rejects his advances, a friendship eventually develops between the two. When Gary pursues his dream of becoming an actor and goes to an audition, Alana accompanies him as a chaperone. The world slowly changes around them politically and culturally.

"The Special Film"

The film series "KINO Bocholt - the special film" has been taking place since 1978. On the initiative of the Department of Culture and Education of the City of Bocholt, selected films are shown every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month in cooperation with the Kinodrom Bocholt. The aim is to present exceptional films - which are not usually shown in Bocholt's cinemas - to an interested audience of any age.
