Remembrance Day: Public memorial service at the cemetery
Sunday, 19 November, 11 a.m. at the memorial
On Sunday, 19 November, a public commemorative address will be held at 11 a.m. on the occasion of the Remembrance Day at the municipal cemetery on Blücherstraße. Pastor Rafael van Strahlen and Mayor Thomas Kerkhoff will speak there. Interested citizens are cordially invited to attend.
The commemoration will be accompanied musically by a group of pupils from the Bocholt-Isselburg music school.
On Remembrance Day, the victims of war and tyranny are commemorated. As a public holiday, the day enjoys special legal protection and offers an opportunity for reflection and contemplation.
The memorial service at the Bocholt cemetery is organised by the Bocholt district association of the German War Graves Commission in conjunction with the city of Bocholt.
