For the first time in Bocholt: nachtfrequenz - night of youth culture

Program points especially for teenagers from 13 to 18 years old

For the first time, as part of the 800th anniversary of the city, a varied program for the NRW-wide project "nachtfrequenz - Nacht der Jugendkultur" (night of youth culture) for young people between the ages of 13 and 18 will take place. On Saturday, September 24, young people can take part in an exciting program free of charge at two locations between 18:00-22:00.

Analog gaming in the public library

In the city library, the program "Back to the Roots" is offered together with the Spielebude Bocholt. Here, young people can play new and old board games together with their peers. Since young people nowadays gamble more on computers, the focus is therefore deliberately on analog gaming.

In addition, library staff will create a pen-and-paper set in the world of Harry Potter, where teens can slip into a different role for the entire evening. The program is free to all, with drinks and snacks provided. Teens only need to register in advance for the Pen&Paper at the public library at stadtbibliothek(at)bocholt(dot)de, as the number of participants is limited here.

Graffiti, slopestyle riding and co. at Lake Aa

The program "Urban Style at the Aa-See" takes place at the recreational area of the Aa-See with the support of Jucca Bocholt. Here, young people have the opportunity to try out various workshops: from graffiti to slopestyle, from skateboarding to scooter riding. Under the floodlights, under the supervision and tips of experienced professionals, including Rose Bikes, new skills can be learned and already existing skills can be expanded.

Admission is also free here and drinks and snacks are provided while supplies last. For all activities on the Pumptrack with the skateboard, the scooter or the bicycle the wearing of a helmet is obligatory. This should be brought by the young people if possible. Unfortunately, riding without a helmet is not possible. In case of rainy weather, the open-air program points unfortunately have to be cancelled, but the graffiti workshop can take place indoors.

For young people the workshops and offers are a great chance to spend a nice evening with their peers, to learn new skills or to play old games again. You will be offered several workshops and program points, so there should be something for many.

The Bocholt program points of the nachtfrequenz are organized by the department of culture and education of the city of Bocholt. The nachtfrequenz - Night of Youth Culture is a NRW-wide project organized by the Landesvereinigung Kulturelle Jugendarbeit NRW e.V. and sponsored by the Ministry for Children, Youth, Family, Equality, Flight and Integration of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia. Nearly 100 cities and communities are taking part in nachtfrequenz this year.
