Campus up close - lecture on psychooncology

On Tuesday, 7 March 2023, the VHS Bocholt-Rhede-Isselburg, the Stadtsparkasse Bocholt and the BBV Media Group jointly invite you to the second lecture in the Campus hautnah series. Christiana Muth, a graduate psychologist from Cologne, is head of clinical psychooncology at Clinic 1 for Internal Medicine at the University Hospital in Cologne and has been working in psychooncology for 38 years. The venue is the Media Centre (Alter Bahnhof), Hindenburgstr.1 in 46395 Bocholt.

About 500,000 people a year are diagnosed with cancer, fewer than with cardiovascular diseases, but a cancer diagnosis is experienced as particularly shocking. The reason why this is so and the influence this range of feelings has on treatment and recovery is part of the speciality of psycho-oncology. Christiana Muth, with her decades of experience in this field, will give a practical lecture and provide the basis for a subsequent discussion.

The event begins at 7:30 pm, admission from 7 pm. At the box office, tickets cost €10. Advance tickets are reduced by 1,- €, BBV subscribers receive a further reduction of 1,- €.
