Remaining places for youth leader training 2023

Training in February and March// Interested parties can register now

The City of Bocholt, Department of Youth, Family, School and Sports is again offering a training course for prospective youth group leaders. The training will take place from 24.02.2023 to 26.02.2023 and from 10.03.2023 to 12.03.2023, each from Friday to Sunday. Registrations can be made until 01.02.2023 at the latest with Mrs. van Baal under Tel.: 02871/953-525.

People from the age of 16, most of whom belong to different youth associations and clubs, can take part in the extensive, very practical and entertaining youth leader training. Willi Kisters from Sonsbeck, an experienced media educator and trainer for adult education in the areas of communication, games and experiential education, was once again invited as a speaker.

The course comprises 40 teaching units with the following contents:

- Supervision, liability and insurance
- Group dynamic processes
- Youth protection
- accident prevention
- Leadership styles and moderation techniques
- Planning and implementation of activities
- Public relations
- Game pedagogy
- Self-image as a leader/authority of the leader
- Child endangerment/Federal Child Protection Act

The training enables the trained youth group leaders to lead youth groups independently and on their own responsibility in the future. This applies to group lessons as well as to youth recreational activities and vacation games.

The youth leader training is, apart from the first aid proof, a condition for the exhibition of the youth leader card JuLeiCa (http://www.juleica.de). The Youth Leader Card is the nationwide standardized ID card for volunteers in youth work. It serves as legitimation and as qualification proof of the owners. In addition, the youth leader card is also intended to express social recognition for voluntary commitment.

Interested persons can apply now, until 01.02.2023 at the latest, to the City of Bocholt, Department of Youth, Family, School and Sports, Ms. van Baal (Tel. 02871/953-525), as only a few remaining places are available.
