Career training for career group 1.2-FEU of the fire brigade technical service

The Fire and Rescue Academy Bocholt offers career training for the career group 1.2-FEU of the fire service according to VAP1.2-Feu (formerly intermediate service). The training extends over 18 months and is divided into the following sections:

Training section 1

Basic training, breathing apparatus wearer, engineer training, equipment maintenance course, motorised chain saw operator course in accordance with GUV and NBC operations.

The training is practical. In order to achieve this goal, realistic training with heat experience, flash-over training and tactical training is carried out in the respiratory protection training.

Training block 2

In this training block, the training to become a paramedic takes place.

Training block 3

Here the knowledge acquired in the fire brigade training is deepened. In addition, the courses for turntable ladder operators and fall protection are carried out in this part.

Training sections 4 and 5

This is where all the knowledge gained is put into practice. Participants complete a "watch internship" on a service group of the fire brigade. They are deployed in operational service.

Training section 6

In this final and decisive section, participants are prepared for the career examination in order to successfully pass the career examination.

During the entire training, great emphasis is placed on practical training so that after the career examination, the graduates will be proficient in the everyday watchkeeping and operations of a fire and rescue station.

Training as a squad leader as a block training

The academy offers the squad leader course as a 60-hour training.

An e-learning module is used in the legal basics. A complete Saturday and the following week - from Monday to Friday - cover the required training content. The course also includes the recommended training in a real fire training facility. Learn more.
