After the death of their mother, sisters Nora and Agnes Borg are faced with the challenge of coming to terms with their estranged father Gustav. Gustav is a former celebrated director who has now been largely forgotten. Nora has uncompromisingly pursued her career as a theatre actress, while Agnes has chosen a quieter life with a family and a steady job. Gustav has written a new script and offers his daughter Nora the leading role, but she firmly rejects the offer.

The film lasts 133 minutes.

The film was directed by Joachim Trier.
