Open all-day school

Full day care

In Bocholt, many primary schools offer all-day care for pupils in the form of the so-called "open all-day school". For this daily reliable care of the children, the legal guardians pay parental contributions. The amount of the fees depends on the parents' annual income and is calculated and collected by the staff of the Youth, Family and Sports Department.

The offer includes continuous care from Monday to Friday until 4:30 pm. Participation in the communal lunch is compulsory. The meal includes balanced warm food and is taken in a family-like atmosphere.

The cost of lunch is not included in the parental contribution.

Inthe afternoon, homework supervision, sports, music, creative activities, etc. are offered.

The providers and organisers of the care services within the framework of the Open All-Day Schools are the care initiative "Kinder in der Schule (K.i.d.S.) gGmbH" and the Freizeitanlage Aa-See e.V..

Registration for the open all-day school takes place in the secretary's office of the respective school. The school administration decides on admission.

At the Youth Welfare Office of the City of Bocholt, the current proof of income for the calculation of parental contributions must be submitted and a registration form must be filled out. The staff there will issue a notice of contribution, which will be sent to the parents.

Holidays

During the holidays, there is a wide range of centralised childcare services offered by the all-day school providers and other providers. If holiday care is used, the respective services must be paid for additionally. The costs vary depending on the provider and utilisation.

We assume that the children attend regularly as agreed between parents and staff at the open all-day school. This is necessary for your child to receive continuous support and for stable, predictable group programmes. Participation in the lunch programme is also compulsory.

We offer a warm lunch in a family-like atmosphere. In addition to healthy eating, learning in the group is also important to us in this respect. The children are given sufficient time to play with their friends. Here too, the development of the children's social behaviour and ability to cooperate is important to us.

In addition, we offer a range of meaningful activities in coordination with partners, e.g. in the areas of sport, music and creative activities. In this way, your child is encouraged and challenged in all their inclinations, abilities and special talents. Homework supervision is an integral part of the programme, although it should not have the character of a "tutoring institute".

How do I register my child for an OGS programme? Parents/guardians can register their children for participation in the "Offene Ganztagsschule" programme at the secretary's office of the respective primary school. The school management decides on enrolment. Enrolment is binding for at least one school year. It is extended for the following school year if a cancellation has not been made by 15 March of the current school year.

The additional costs for lunchtime catering will be invoiced directly by the individual schools or the provider. They are expected to amount to approx. 2.60 euros per meal. Subsidies from the "Kein Kind ohne Mahlzeit" programme can be applied for.

The calculation and collection of parental contributions is carried out by the Department of Youth, Family and Sport - General Administration/Kindergartens - of the City of Bocholt.
