Open all-day school

Full day care

In Bocholt, many primary schools offer all-day care for pupils in the form of the so-called "open all-day school". For this daily reliable care of the children, the legal guardians pay parental contributions. The amount of the fees depends on the parents' annual income and is calculated and collected by the staff of the Youth, Family and Sports Department.

The offer includes continuous care from Monday to Friday until 4:30 pm. Participation in the communal lunch is compulsory. The meal includes balanced warm food and is taken in a family-like atmosphere.

The cost of lunch is not included in the parental contribution.

Inthe afternoon, homework supervision, sports, music, creative activities, etc. are offered.

The providers and organisers of the care services within the framework of the Open All-Day Schools are the care initiative "Kinder in der Schule (K.i.d.S.) gGmbH" and the Freizeitanlage Aa-See e.V..

Registration for the open all-day school takes place in the secretary's office of the respective school. The school administration decides on admission.

At the Youth Welfare Office of the City of Bocholt, the current proof of income for the calculation of parental contributions must be submitted and a registration form must be filled out. The staff there will issue a notice of contribution, which will be sent to the parents.

Holidays

During the holidays, there is a wide range of central childcare services provided by the all-day schools and other providers. When using the holiday care, the respective offers must be paid for additionally. The costs vary depending on the provider and the use.

We assume that the children attend regularly according to the agreements between parents and staff of the Open All-Day School. This is necessary for the continuous support of your child and for stable, plannable group activities. Participation in lunch is also compulsory. We offer a warm lunch in a family-like atmosphere. In addition to healthy eating issues, group learning is also important to us in this regard. The children are given sufficient time to play with their friends. Here, too, we are concerned with the development of the children's social behaviour and ability to cooperate.

In addition, we offer a range of meaningful activities in coordination with partners, e.g. from the areas of sports, music, creative activities. In this way, your child should be encouraged and challenged with all his or her inclinations, abilities and special talents. Homework supervision is an integral part of the programme, but it should not have the character of a "tutoring institute".

How do I register my child for an OGS programme? Parents can register their children for the "Open All-Day School" programme at the secretary's office of the respective primary school. The school administration decides on the admission. Registration is binding for at least one school year. It is extended for the following school year if no deregistration has taken place by 15 March of the current school year.

The additional costs for lunch will be invoiced directly by the individual schools or the provider. They are expected to amount to approx. 2.60 euros per meal. Subsidies from the programme "No child without a meal" can be applied for.

The calculation and collection of parental contributions is carried out by the Youth, Family and Sports Department - General Administration/Kindergartens - of the City of Bocholt.
