Sport: Numerous grass pitches in the city area closed up to and including Sunday
turf pitch in the "Gigaset Arena" in the municipal sports centre Am Hünting is not affected.
Due to current and reported weather conditions, numerous grass pitches in the city area will be unplayable and therefore closed on Saturday 25 March 2023 and Sunday 26 March 2023.
This was the decision of the municipal sports ground control of the ESB after checking the condition of the pitches on Saturday morning. The grass pitches at the sports facilities of GSV Suderwick, DJK Barlo, Borussia Bocholt, TSV Bocholt, Olympia Bocholt, DJK Stenern, TuB Bocholt, SC TuB Mussum, SF 97/30 Lowick, SV Biemenhorst and VfL 45 Bocholt are affected by the closure. At the sports facility in Hemden, only the upper grass pitch is not playable. The artificial turf and the clay pitches are not affected by the closure.
