Supervisory board of the municipal subsidiary reaches agreement // "New name reflects core competence".
The municipal subsidiary EWIBO (Entwicklungs- und Betriebsgesellschaft der Stadt Bocholt) is to operate under a new name in future. The abbreviation "ISKO" stands for "Innovative Social Competence". The supervisory board of the company agreed on the renaming "ISKO" at its recent closed meeting. The EWIBO staff was involved in the naming process beforehand.
Mayor Thomas Kerkhoff, also chairman of the supervisory board of the municipal company: "The strengthening and further development of social infrastructures in Bocholt is the defining characteristic of our municipal subsidiary. This core competence is to be reflected in the new name and its catchy abbreviation ISKO. The name has a clear, friendly and identity-forming effect both externally and internally."
The municipal company is currently undergoing a restructuring process. "In addition to internal changes, a new, fresh external image is also part of a new beginning, under which the company as a whole, and with it every employee, can be positively linked and perceived. The new brand identity will achieve this." The logo will also change with the future name.
In addition to the name "ISKO - Innovative Social Competence", the name "KALEA/KALEO - Social Participation for Bocholt" was up for discussion. They were favoured out of several name proposals in which the staff had previously participated.
