Event "fit & cool" on Wednesday cancelled

Speaker ill // First catch-up date as video conference on 23 November, another to follow

The event planned for next Wednesday, 9 November, entitled "fit & cool: Exercise and health promotion for children and young people" (see announcement from 31.10.2022 http://www.presse-service.de/data.aspx/static/?ID=1115125f.html) has been cancelled due to the illness of the main speaker.

The network conference was intended to mark the end of the "fit &cool" sub-programme in the "Future City 2030+ - Breathing Bocholt" project. Sascha Terörde from the city of Bocholt announced that "individual components of the planned evening programme will be made up for in the near future".

The first date has already been fixed. The lecture on "The influence of parents on the health behaviour of children and adolescents" by Prof. Dr Harald Michels will be presented as an online event via Zoom on 23 November 2022 at 6 pm. Michels will report on how parents can positively influence the health of children and adolescents with a focus on exercise, sport, nutrition and stress regulation. Among other things, the results of a study from the perspective of young people will be presented and the possibilities and limitations of parents' influence will be discussed. Registration is possible via the link https://t1p.de/8qw3a.

A date that focuses on health promotion for children in the areas of exercise and nutrition and is aimed at child and youth work institutions, in particular kindergartens and day care centres, will be announced publicly at short notice. "At this event in person, concrete perspectives and approaches to health promotion in the institutions in Bocholt are to be discussed and, if possible, agreed", says Terörde.
