FW Bocholt: Traffic accident in Bocholt Barlo

On Thursday evening, at about 18:45, the fire brigade and the rescue service of the city of Bocholt were alerted to a traffic accident on Winterswijker Straße in Barlo.
In the accident involving two cars, one driver was reported to be trapped in his vehicle. The Bocholt fire brigade therefore deployed a total of six vehicles, including two ambulances and an emergency ambulance, and 15 emergency personnel.
One driver was able to free himself and sustained minor injuries. The other driver was not trapped in the vehicle, but had to be freed by the fire brigade due to his serious injuries and the position of the vehicle.
Both drivers were treated by the rescue service. The seriously injured driver was transported to the Bocholt hospital by ambulance, accompanied by an emergency doctor.
The police have started an investigation into the cause of the accident.
