FW Bocholt: The fire brigade of the Bocholt fire brigade went out to Hochfeldstraße at 11.26 am. Residents had noticed smoke on the first floor and alerted the fire brigade via the emergency call.

FW Bocholt (ots) -

On arrival of the fire brigade, a smell of burning was detected from outside. The firefighters then forced their way into the flat, as the occupants were not present. During the search, a respiratory protection team found burnt food and used a small extinguisher to fight the fire. The firefighters then used a ventilation device to remove the smoke from the flat. A total of 14 firefighters and ambulance personnel with 5 vehicles were deployed. There was only minor damage to property and no persons were injured.
