FW Bocholt: Severe weather operations after a tornado in the Mussum district

Bocholt fire brigade (ots) -

The Bocholt fire brigade dealt with several severe weather incidents on Wednesday evening.
The main focus of operations was in the Mussum district, where a tornado had probably completely destroyed the roof truss of a residential building. Fortunately, no people were injured. The house was no longer habitable due to the extensive damage. The neighbouring residential buildings were also damaged by debris. Fallen trees were cleared at several other locations. The fire brigade on Loikumer Weg was supported by the ESB.
The fire brigade was deployed with 50 firefighters for approx. 3 hours.
