FW Bocholt: New Year's Eve balance sheet of the Bocholt fire brigade

The fire brigade was busy with an increased number of incidents during the New Year. From 8 a.m. on New Year's Eve until 8 a.m. on New Year's Day, the fire brigade was called out to 10 fires and technical assistance incidents in the city. A group of the volunteer fire brigade and a squadron of the Suderwick fire brigade supported the full-time fire brigade. Despite the additional forces, the rescue service was very busy and was called out to 48 incidents of various kinds in the last 24 hours. The emergency services spent the turn of the year on Petersfeldstraße. A hedge was on fire at 23:42. The fire and smoke threatened to spread to a nearby building. The fire brigade prevented worse.
