FW Bocholt: Hedge fire in Mussum

A reported fire with human lives in danger turned out to be a major hedge fire.
At 3.50 p.m., the fire brigade and the rescue service of the city of Bocholt travelled to the scene on Kiebitzweg.
A hedge was on fire over a length of around 15 metres. Several residents had already tried to extinguish the fire with garden hoses.
The hedge was finally extinguished by the fire brigade by a team protected by breathing apparatus.
Nobody was injured.

Due to the initial reports, numerous volunteers from the Bocholt fire brigade were also alerted. However, they no longer had to leave the station.

In total, the fire and rescue services of the city of Bocholt attended the scene with ten firefighters and three vehicles.
