FW Bocholt: Fire on a farm
Bocholt (ots) -
The Bocholt fire brigade was called out to a reported fire in the barn of a farm on the road in Kortenhorn in Bocholt Stenern shortly after 5 pm today.
The fire brigade of the full-time fire brigade was reinforced by a fire engine of the volunteer fire brigade. During the operating hours of the Bocholt funfair, the vehicle is manned by the volunteer forces at the fire and rescue station.
Straw was burning in a turkey barn. Fortunately, there were no animals inside. The owners were able to contain the fire and prevent further damage.
The fire brigade used breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire.
During the operation, the fire and rescue station was manned by additional volunteers who were called in to ensure basic protection for the city.
In total, the Bocholt fire brigade was on the scene with five vehicles and 15 emergency personnel.
