FW Bocholt: Fire brigade extinguishes incipient fire on carnival float

Bocholt fire brigade (ots) -

At around 3 p.m., the fire brigade received a report of an incipient fire on a carnival float. On site, the incipient fire could already be brought under control with a fire extinguisher by the medical service present. The fire brigade was able to quickly extinguish the fire on a power generator after arriving. A team wearing breathing protection was deployed to remove the generator and the panelling. The operation was completed after approx. 30 minutes. The fire brigade was on site with four vehicles and 14 firefighters.
