CITY CYCLING 2025: Bocholt once again beats last year's result

The campaign period for this year's CITY CYCLING for Bocholt ended on 21 May 2025. Once again, the previous year's results were surpassed on this date. The kilometres cycled during the campaign period can still be added until 28 May.

In 2024, the total number of kilometres cycled on the last day of the campaign period was 642,000 km; this year, the total on 21 May was 690,000 km. In the meantime, the more than 2,900 active cyclists in Bocholt have even reached the next milestone and, with over 712,000 kilometres cycled (as of 23 May 2025), are currently in first place in the size category of municipalities with 50,000 - 100,000 inhabitants.

In other cities, however, the three-week period is still running or is still to come. The final overall results can therefore only be finalised at a later date. The following therefore applies: "Every kilometre counts", as Sascha Terörde from the City of Bocholt's Climate Protection Department emphasises.

To ensure that every kilometre cycled for Bocholt is counted, journeys can be added to the personal online calendar at www.stadtradeln.de or in the CITY CYCLING app. Concerns and technical problems can be reported by email to klimaschutz(at)bocholt(dot)de. As soon as the first round of entries has been completed and the values have been checked, various prizes will be raffled off and awards presented.
