Bocholt is looking for election assistants for local elections
Local elections and integration council elections // 500 helpers wanted
On 14 September 2025, the local elections and the election of the Integration Council will take place in North Rhine-Westphalia. The city of Bocholt is looking for over 500 volunteer electoral assistants to ensure that these elections are organised properly. Interested citizens can volunteer with immediate effect.
They are deployed in one of the 40 polling stations in the city or in one of the 20 postal ballot boards. Each electoral board consists of eight people: an election supervisor and their deputy, a secretary with deputy and four assessors. In the polling stations, polling day begins at 7.30 a.m., with the work split into two shifts.
The entire electoral board meets again at 6 pm to determine the results. In the postal voting boards, work begins at 3 pm and is carried out in one continuous shift. A refreshment allowance of 50 euros is paid for this commitment. The city of Bocholt also provides water and snacks.
At the last election, the city was able to count on numerous new volunteers. This time too, the city is relying on the support of committed citizens to ensure that the elections run smoothly.
