VHS excursion: Up close and personal with the buffalo

The Bocholt-Rhede-Isselburg Adult Education Centre is offering a special family excursion on Saturday, 27 September, from 11:00 to 13:00: Under the title "With the buffalo on you & you", those interested can get very close to the water buffalo on Kragemann's farm in Bocholt. The meeting point is the farm at Kotts Stegge 5.

The gentle giants became famous not least thanks to the ZDF documentary "The Buffalo Ranch", which aroused nationwide sympathy for the black animals. At Kragemann's farm, participants experience the water buffalo up close and learn interesting facts about the origin, husbandry and lifestyle of the animals during a personalised guided tour.

The excursion is led by Silvia and Martin Mölders, who talk enthusiastically about their work. Questions are expressly welcome - because the aim of the dedicated farm owners is to bring visitors a little closer to traditional farming. The programme is rounded off with small samples of the farm's own products.

The event is aimed at families with children aged six and over. The participation fee is 16.50 euros per person and includes both the guided tour and the tastings.
