Waste glass and paper containers on Sporker Straße in the Suderwick district are currently unusable

Reason is construction work // Alternative: Brunsmannstraße location or recycling centre

The used glass and paper depot container location in the Suderwick district, in the Sporker Straße turning area, is currently temporarily unusable due to construction work. This has been announced by the Bocholt waste disposal and service company (ESB). The depot containers have therefore been temporarily removed.

Alternatively, residents of the affected area can use the depot containers at the sports centre "Brunsmannstraße". Additional containers are available there. Glass and paper can also be disposed of directly at the recycling centre (Schaffeldstraße in Bocholt).

Correct use of the depot containers

In this context, the ESB would like to emphasise the correct use of the depot containers:

  • Depot containers may only be used on weekdays from 7:00 to 12:00 and from 14:00 to 19:00.

  • It is forbidden to place objects, including glass or paper, next to the containers. If the container is full, the ESB asks that you take the materials with you and move to another location if necessary.

  • The depot containers are intended exclusively for glass and paper. No other waste may be thrown in or placed next to them.

  • Glass must be sorted by colour. Specially coloured glass such as blue or red may be placed in green glass. Do not put in the glass containers: Windows, mirrors, glass cooking pots and aquariums.

  • Please crush large cardboard boxes so that they fit easily through the opening and do not open up again inside. This ensures space for other users.

  • For larger quantities of glass and large cardboard boxes, the recycling centre offers containers with large openings.

  • Discarded toys, bulky waste, electrical appliances, packaging and other items can also be handed in at the recycling centre.

Citizens can find an overview of the nearest depot container locations in the waste navigation system at www.bocholt.de/abfall-navi under the menu item Disposal locations and on the city map at www.bocholt.de/stadtkarte in the category "Recycling/Sustainability".
