Summer heat: recycling centre closes early on Wednesday

Due to the predicted high temperatures, the Bocholt recycling centre will close at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, 2 July 2025. The German Weather Service is also expecting peak temperatures of up to 36 degrees Celsius in Bocholt on this day. The city administration asks the citizens for their understanding for this measure.

The decision to close the centre early was made to protect the health of employees and customers. It is already apparent that fewer people are using the recycling centre due to the high temperatures.

The administration recommends postponing waste disposal to the morning hours or cooler days if possible.
