Bocholt water fun from 26.06. - 27.07.25

After its great success in summer 2024, the popular water fun is returning to Bocholt's city centre: from 26 June to 27 July 2025, the "PlayFountain" will once again transform the market square in front of the historic town hall into a lively meeting place for the whole family.

The approximately 10 x 10 metre water attraction is part of the implementation of the city centre strategy "Collective System Change", in which citizens particularly wanted more activities and events for children and families. The PlayFountain is a mobile water play fountain with 1,024 individually controllable water jets that shoot water fountains up to 4 metres high into the sky. Whether interactive water games, colourful light shows or background music - the play fountain offers a diverse mix of fun, games and entertainment for all age groups every day from 10 am to 8 pm.

The Bocholt water fun will be officially opened on Thursday, 26 June, at 5 pm.

Use of the PlayFountain is free of charge. Deckchairs and parasols invite you to linger while children romp around the water games. The installation also offers spectators an entertaining atmosphere in the middle of the city centre. On windy days, the installation is programmed so that the fountains do not rise too high - so that visitors to the café or ice-cream parlour stay dry.
