City of Bocholt hands over 1,000 euros for a good cause

Support for the charity campaign "One Million Stars" of Caritas and Liebfrauen parish

The city of Bocholt now presented a check for 1,000 euros to representatives of the Caritas Association for the Bocholt Deanery and the Liebfrauen Parish. The money had been donated by visitors to the city library and the city's continuing education center during the "One Million Stars" charity campaign. By buying a candle, they set a sign of solidarity with people in need in Germany and worldwide.

"The city library and continuing education center are busy places with a high volume of visitors. We were happy to support the campaign of Caritas and Liebfrauen in this way - with success," said First City Councilor Thomas Waschki, Isabel Testroet and Melanie Tenhumberg from the municipal library at the symbolic check presentation to Lisanne Dienberg (Caritas) and Elisabeth Weiß from the social office of the Liebfrauen parish. "Our thanks also go to all Bocholters who took part and donated 5 euros for the good cause."

Background information on the campaign can be found in the press release dated September 28, 2022.
