Book flea market in the city library

Until 15 April in the entrance hall of the library // Expand your own book treasure in exchange for donations

Until 15 April, the Bocholt Public Library is holding a book flea market in the entrance hall. During opening hours, anyone interested can browse and take media treasures in exchange for a donation. This year, the proceeds will go to the Bocholt animal shelter and to the earthquake region in Turkey and Syria.

During the Easter holidays, "bookworms" on a treasure hunt once again have a reason to rejoice: the Bocholt Public Library organises the popular book flea market during the holiday weeks. Always striving to be up to date, the library staff regularly maintain the stock. As a result, a lot of well-preserved books, DVDs and the like have come together again, which the public library team would now like to offer to all citizens. You can rummage around as much as you like.

Give books a new home and do good at the same time

"The book market is in a constant state of flux, which is why we have to part with some of our media from time to time. Since much of it is still in very good condition, we are of course happy if some of the books, DVDs and other media find a new home and we can do something good with the proceeds at the same time," says Melanie Tenhumberg, technical director of the municipal library.

Novels of various genres, non-fiction books on topics such as "handicrafts and music" and "travel, handicrafts and science" as well as a variety of children's books are up for grabs at the flea market. There are also some DVDs, audio books and console games on offer.

Media for a donation

Media can be taken away for a small donation of your choice. The donation can be handed in at the lending desk of the public library. The proceeds will go to the Bocholt animal shelter and to the earthquake region in Turkey and Syria.
