The special film "The Assessment"

"The Assessment" is set in a world that has been severely affected by climate change. In this near future, every aspect of life is rigorously monitored and optimised - even parenthood is strictly regulated. Mia and Aaryan must undergo an assessment to prove their suitability as parents.

An expert is commissioned to observe the lives of the successful young couple over a period of seven days. They are evaluated by the enigmatic Virginia, whose unconventional methods push the couple to their limits. What begins as a hope for a family develops into a psychological nightmare that questions the foundations of their relationship and the structure of society.

The film lasts 114 minutes and was directed by Fleur Fortune.

About the special film campaign

The film series "KINO Bocholt - der besondere Film" has been running since 1977 as a cooperation between the Department of Education and Culture and the Bocholt Kinodrom. The aim is to present exceptional films - which would otherwise not be shown in Bocholt - to an interested audience of all ages at a favourable price of €7. As a rule, selected films are shown every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month.
