The Business and Biodiversity funding programme focuses on Bocholt businesses and the Bocholt retail trade. The intention of the funding programme is to bring more colour, life and diversity to Bocholt's company premises. The outdoor areas of the companies become a green business card and at the same time offer new habitats for animals and plants.

The focus is on native flowering plants and woody plants as well as wetland biotopes and an increase in structural diversity. Skilfully selected, native shrubs, flowering plants and perennials provide nectar, leaves, fruits, hiding places and nesting sites all year round.

Near-natural structures such as deadwood and stone joints or nesting sites in the form of nesting boxes are also important for insects and other animal species.
