In the first two years of the programme, practical training takes place three days a week in the Digital & IT department of the city of Bocholt. At the same time, the "Informatics.software systems" degree programme takes place two days a week at the Westphalian University of Applied Sciences, Bocholt campus. After two years of study, students can take the final examination to become an IT specialist at the IHK Nord Westfalen.

From the third year onwards, the trainees work at the Westphalian University of Applied Sciences during the lecture periods and at the City of Bocholt during the lecture-free periods. A three-month practical phase and the Bachelor's thesis are also completed as part of the degree programme.
