Times are uncertain, the fun is over. Tales of doom are flourishing, madness is booming. And what does the cabaret artist do? Sunna Huygen simply takes her audience to the forest to laugh.
There, too, undemocratic machinations, ecological ignorance and male megalomania lurk behind many an oak tree. Nevertheless, the cabaret evening finds its way through the thicket of today's identity crises, social fears and fragile concepts of freedom.
Who are we and who puts out the fire when the forest burns? Is it an offence to remain inactive?
Along the way, monsters cross the path. They are (un)sympathetic and do not explain the world. Perhaps they offer shelter.
Sunna Huygen has feminism, punchlines and poetry in her luggage...and whenever things get nasty, light music plays.
