Pettersson and Findus, the quirky main characters of the famous Swedish children's book series, are one heart and one soul and lead a tranquil life on their farm. Until Caruse, the neighbouring farm's vain rooster, disturbs their cosy togetherness by fleeing from the soup pot. Caruso crows tunes incessantly and shamelessly turns the heads of the farm's chickens.

Everyone loves Caruso, except Findus. The tender soul of the cat is shaken.

Fearing for his position as Pettersson's favourite, he hatches a devious plan.
