It's all a bit much for Edith to take in all at once when she moves from Berlin to Kraków with her parents and little brother. Of course, she knew about her parents' plans to settle in the neighbouring country. And she'd already been having Polish lessons. But leaving her own city, her friends and her language behind is quite a struggle. Yet Edith rises to the challenge. At first cautiously, then with increasing boldness, she throws herself into her new life.

Together with her friends Milena and Antek, she explores her new home and discovers some letters in a hidden room. What's the story behind them?
