Concert "Two Flutes"

The popular Summerwinds Festival will be stopping off at the Evangelical Christuskirche in Bocholt on Sunday 2 August at 7.00 pm with an exquisite and captivating programme. It is, after all, a rare treat to experience a chamber concert featuring two top-class flautists at the same time. The festival, which spans the Münsterland region, will present the internationally renowned flautists Daniela Koch and Eyal Ein-Habar, alongside pianist Kimiko Imani, in this church with its superb acoustics. The trio will perform highlights from the classical flute repertoire, including gripping compositions for solo flute, two flutes, flute and piano, and for trio.

Daniela Koch is one of the most distinguished flutists of her generation. She has won the world's most prestigious flute competitions, is principal flutist with the internationally acclaimed Bamberg Symphony Orchestra, and is a much sought-after soloist and chamber musician. Eyal Ein-Habar, who until 2014 was principal flutist of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra under Zubin Mehta - an orchestra that performs all over the world - is currently a professor at the Münster University of Music. The two will be accompanied by the Japanese pianist Kimiko Imani, who performs in Europe and Asia with renowned woodwind soloists.
