City History Discussion Group: Guided tour of the exhibition "Heavy Steps"

The town of Bocholt invites you to the 'Town History Discussion Group' on Thursday, 10 September 2026 at 6.30 pm in the Appendix of the Lernwerk Bocholt at Herdingstraße 5. During a guided tour of the exhibition "Heavy Steps. Bocholt Stories of Flight and New Beginnings", museum director Lisa Resing will provide insights into the project's development and the background to its content.

Refuge is not merely something that affects only others. On the contrary: the subject raises questions about protection, humanity and living together that concern us all. At selected stops, personal stories, artefacts and historical contexts are explored in greater detail. This allows visitors to experience how individual life stories have been translated into a sensitive and multi-layered exhibition space. The guided tour invites you to take a closer look, understand the connections and gain new perspectives. An opportunity for anyone who would like to learn more about the ideas and stories behind the exhibition.
