Caring Together

Care affects many people - either now or in the future.

Through the "Gemeinsam Pflege" project, the city of Bocholt is developing new ways to support people in need of care, family carers and volunteers. The aim is to maintain independence, social inclusion and quality of life for as long as possible, and to work together to further develop local care provision.

The pilot project is funded by the Ministry of Labour, Health and Social Affairs of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia (MAGS), the state associations of care insurance funds in North Rhine-Westphalia and the Association of Private Health Insurance (Verband der Privaten Krankenversicherung e.V.), and is scientifically supported by empirica ag. The findings are also intended to serve as a model for other local authorities.
