Integrated mobility concept

Graphic mobility concept

There are all sorts of ways to get from A to B - by bus, train, bike, car or on foot. Coordinating the various traffic flows and linking them together effectively is the role of urban transport planning.

The integrated mobility concept is a valuable tool in this regard. Adopted by the City Council, it has formed the basis since 2020 for key transport policy decisions concerning mobility in Bocholt and connections to wider regional transport networks.

Key areas of focus include, in particular:

  • Cycling
  • Pedestrian traffic and public spaces
  • Local public transport / local rail transport
  • Moving and stationary motor vehicle traffic and the road network
  • Connections, multi- and intermodality, new forms of mobility
  • Commercial transport
  • Road safety and safe mobility
  • Public relations, mobility management and culture
  • Traffic and the environment
  • City centre transport plan

Various areas of action have been developed within these policy areas. Further information can be found under Downloads.
