Big carnival parade on 16 February in Bocholt!

Every year, Bocholt is transformed into a colourful sea of colour, music and a cheerful party atmosphere when the traditional Rose Monday parade passes through the streets of the city centre and attracts thousands of visitors from near and far.

Berliner Platz - Meckenemstraße - Ravardistraße - St.Georg-Platz - Markt - Königstraße - Osterstraße - Langenbergstraße - Wesemannstraße - Niederbruch - Rebenstraße - Europaplatz/Busbahnhof - Ravardistraße - St.Georg-Platz - Markt - Neustraße - Ludwig-Erhard-Straße - Willy-Brandt-Straße
The procession will break up at around 5 pm at Berliner Platz.

Frequently asked questions
Where can I park my car or bicycle?
Local visitors are advised to come on foot or by bike .
Car parks in the city centre - including Berliner Platz, Gasthausplatz and Liebfrauenplatz - are closed on Rose Monday. The Shopping Arkaden multi-storey car park will not be available on Monday.
Visitors from out of town are advised to use car parks outside the city ring road (see map with car parks on this page).
Can I take the bus to the Rose Monday parade?
Yes, the city buses will be running on Rose Monday.
There will be additional buses for the revellers on almost all StadtBus routes. Buses will run to the city centre every 15 minutes on almost all routes. After the Rose Monday parade, the StadtBus fleet can be conveniently used for the return journey.
The exact departure times can be found on the notice boards at the stops leading into the city centre or on the StadtBus Bocholt website .
Where can I get help in an emergency?
An ambulance station is set up on the pub square under the direction of the fire brigade.
The German Red Cross, Malteser Hilfsdienst and ASB provide care for people in need there.
What are the rules for the protection of minors?
The Youth Protection Act aims to protect children and young people and sets clear limits. This means
- No distribution of alcoholic beverages to children and young people under the age of 16, and no consumption. For other alcoholic beverages such as spirits, the following even applies: only from the age of 18!
- Similarly, the consumption of tobacco products of any kind, such as (e-)cigarettes and (e-)shishas, in public is only permitted from the age of 18.
