Start from 5 November, every Wednesday, 14:30-16:00 // Volunteer agency, Langenbergstraße 18 // Volunteers welcome
From Wednesday, 5 November 2025, the chat meeting of the "Plauderbank" project will move to its winter quarters: the office of the volunteer agency at Langenbergstraße 18, where the open conversation offer will take place on Wednesdays from 14:30 to 16:00. The meeting point can be recognised by the Plauderbank beach flag in front of the entrance.
The chat meeting is part of the city's "GEMeinsam in Bocholt" initiative and has been successfully held on the corner of Weberstraße/Schonenberg since mid-May. Previously, an existing bench was used there on Thursdays as a "chattering bench" to get into an uncomplicated conversation with one another. To ensure that chatting doesn't pause during the cold season, the programme is moving to the premises of the volunteer agency. The date has changed to Wednesdays; the time is still 14:30 to 16:00.
The talks remain open, low-threshold and without registration. Volunteers from the SEHEN.HELFEN.HANDELN e. V. association will be available as attentive listeners and dialogue partners. All Bocholters are welcome - whether for a brief exchange, a sympathetic ear or a nice chat in between.
At the same time, we are looking for other committed people who would like to support the project on a voluntary basis and thus make a contribution against loneliness and for more togetherness. Anyone interested can contact the volunteer agency directly during opening hours or send an email to ehrenamt(at)bocholt(dot)de.
