Successful completion and start of youth leader training at August Vetter Vocational College

24 new youth leaders receive certificate // Next round of training started

The next round of youth leader training has now started at August-Vetter-Berufskolleg. As part of a ceremony, 24 students were honoured for their successful participation in the training and received the nationally recognised Youth Leader Card (JuLeiCa). The certificates were presented by the two specialist JuLeiCa training teachers, Christina Zydra-Echelmeier and Christiane Pross-Löhner.

The school then officially opened the new training programme together with the city of Bocholt. This will enable more young people to develop their skills in the field of child and youth work. Among other things, the training includes social, communication and leadership skills as well as the acquisition of a first aid licence.

"Youth leader training is a strong foundation for voluntary work and social cohesion", emphasised Mayor Thomas Kerkhoff in his welcoming address. "I am proud to see how many young people are willing to take on responsibility and actively help others. This commitment is an asset for our city."

Two representatives from the City of Bocholt's Youth and Family Department, Doris Springer and her colleague Nicole van Baal, also took part in the event and recognised the close cooperation between the city and the school. It is particularly noteworthy that the August-Vetter-Berufskolleg is the only school in Bocholt to offer youth leader training independently as a school event - a unique selling point that emphasises the sustainable promotion of voluntary work on site.
