Steps Challenge as part of the EUROPEAN MOBILITY WEEK 2025
Call to collect steps for Bocholt // EUROPE DIRECT Bocholt awards a prize for the first three places
Bocholt - This year, citizens of legal age can take part in the EUROPEAN MOBILITY WEEK by collecting steps. From 16 to 22 September, the steps taken can be recorded using the WALK15 app. A total of three prizes will be awarded to people with the most registered steps.
European Mobility Week takes place annually from 16 to 22 September. The aim is to raise awareness of sustainable mobility and encourage citizens to use environmentally friendly means of transport or to walk wherever possible.
The health benefits of physical activity also play a major role here. This year, the city of Bocholt's participation in the Europe-wide walking challenge will combine the ideas of sustainability and health. Ahaus, Borken, Rhede and Südlohn from the Borken district are also taking part in the campaign.
Participation in the challenge
Interested people can already download the "WALK15" app, register there and take part in the "Steps Challenge of the European Mobility Week 2025" under the "Challenges" tab. From 16 to 22 September, the steps taken in Bocholt will be counted automatically. The people with the most steps will receive a prize from EUROPE DIRECT Bocholt.
"The challenge does not start until 16 September, but numerous European cities have already signed up.
